| ARTS EDUCATION BACKGROUND, DANCE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:Began training in the arts in 1971  at RI Ballet Arts Academy, Smithfield – age 6.
 Continued dancing and performing throughout  the years, expanding education into lyrical, contemporary, tap, jazz, musical  theater, vocal and gymnastics.
 Entered the competitive circuit,  winning multiple local and regional awards and titles.
 Began teaching at Dance RI at age  15.
 Miss RI 1987 – Scholarship  opportunities to Boston Conservatory, The Juilliard School with Barry Weiss,  PDTA – Professional Dance Teacher’s Association.
 Performed in television and  theater circuits throughout New England.
 Founded NARRAGANSETT PERFORMING  ARTS CENTRE (NPAC), 1991.
 Founding member of RI’s Ballet  Theater, 1997.
 NARRAGANSETT PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE |  FOUNDER/OWNER/ARTISTIC DIRECTOR| 1991 – 2015· Owned and operated business  which offered a variety of performing arts for both recreational and  pre-professional artists.
 · Managed all features of small  business, including client service, sales, buying, retail sales, accounting,  hiring and training staff, marketing & recruiting, program development,  producing all seasonal events.
 · Managed a pre-professional level  competition team within the Dance Centre as well as a superior community  recreational program.
 · Assisted graduating students  with college scholarship applications for careers in the Fine Arts.
 · Directed application videos and  choreographed application submissions. 100% acceptance rate on each student  represented, with scholarships.
 · Client service was key to the  success of this business with a high annual enrollment.
 · Managed a team of 5-10  independent contractors each season.
 · Coordinated fundraisers to  support continuing educational opportunities for my students: organized travel  to conventions for students and parents.
 · Developed scholarships for  under-served students to enjoy the performing arts: designed and implemented  programs to accommodate the development and enrichment of children in the arts.
 · Regionally recognized for NPAC’s  numerous awards in the performing arts industry.
 · Highlighted in two National  dance magazines for having a healthy competitive atmosphere and for producing  seamless performances.
 · Created strategic marketing and  community relations efforts to stay relevant through social media, events and local  arts related forums.
 · Worked in conjunction with the  local schools to enhance their local arts and enrichment programs.
 · Costume design and creation;  prop design and stage set management: Produced full scale seasonal and yearly  productions at the largest venues in the State.
 PERSONAL MARITAL STATUS, ETCMother, Author and Realtor with two adult sons working  towards master’s degrees at Suffolk University and the University of RI.
